Shell Carmon Creek

Project Background and Location:

To support the expansion of operations, ATCO was awarded a major contract by Shell Canada to design, build, and operate a workforce accommodation lodge capable of housing 1,500 personnel. In addition to the lodge, ATCO was also responsible for constructing a substantial administrative facility expansion. These developments were designed to ensure that Shell Canada could effectively manage its growing operations while providing comfortable, functional, and efficient living and working spaces for its staff in a remote location.

Project Management Xenali assigned a dedicated team—including a Project Manager, Production Manager, and Site Services Manager—to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery.
Supply Chain Management Leveraging strong relationships with North American and Asian suppliers, Xenali managed the full procurement process—from design and manufacturing to onsite delivery and installation.
Project Staging and Delivery Logistics Xenali committed to a JIT delivery at the site. Our team was responsible for validating receipt of products, delivery to each of the floor levels, and deployment into each of the rooms.
Safety Operating on a live construction site, Xenali adhered to strict project management guidelines to ensure the safety of our team and seamless coordination with other on-site trades.
Quality Control Xenali’s Supply Chain Engagement model included multiple validation checkpoints—covering design specs, schedules, packaging, and installation. Pre- and post-stage documentation minimized rework, reduced scheduling delays, and tracked any deficiencies for quick resolution.
